fashion moms, please help: do you have any thoughts on a great colorist/salon for someone with dark-ish, curly hair, looking to cover gray and add subtle highlights? I'm willing to pay any $$$ to get it right (just had a bad experience at a trendy salon and it's gotten too dark...). (And being photographed next week; worried about looking crappy.)

    - or: i live downtown too. i have brown hair and i go to sydney to cover my greys. i do not want any other color than brown. she does a great job. worth the trip.

- You should try Xac Anthony Salon in Chelsea!! Amazing Cuts and colorists and they are very friendly and affordable! I go and I've sent my friends and they ALL love it and are very happy!!! www.xacanthony.com

i am certainly not a fashion mom, but i love paul labreque on the ues. sydney for color and frederic for cut. are you the mom who wrote the book?
