  • fashion moms, please help: do you have any thoughts on a great colorist/salon for someone with dark-ish, curly hair, looking to cover gray and add subtle highlights? I'm willing to pay any $$$ to get it right (just had a bad experience at a trendy salon and it's gotten too dark...). (And being photographed next week; worried about looking crappy.)

        • or: i live downtown too. i have brown hair and i go to sydney to cover my greys. i do not want any other color than brown. she does a great job. worth the trip.

          • op: Thank you! It's the same for me: I want my hair to brown, but somehow it keeps coming out black. *Or*, once or twice, I've had people put in highlights and they're way too light. So I will venture uptown and see Sydney! Thank you!
