  • St thomas, here I come. i forgot to lose those 40 lbs, though :(. still, almost a free vacation. let's see how sil can ruin this one.

      • all the freakin' inlaws. we provided the place for free (long story, but no cost to us). mil is paying airfare, god bless her, b/c otherwise, she would have paid for the house. but sil can be a bitch. we invited them to a ski weekend once, on us, and she said, "fine, but don't expect us to babysit for you." and it's always like this, but she'll expect me to watch hers.

          • thanks! i need an attitude adjustment. i'll have enough on my hands with my own kids, and they're the fun ones! this is the same sil who asked me "when [ds] would start being fun" when he was something like 4mo. but when it came to her own, you'd think he ruled the world.

      • thanks, we'll see. hard to take ds many places, but he'll love the beach. i just want to be away. hard to leave ds with inlaws, too, they don't understand him and it's just not fair to him (he has autism, they get frustrated). it's ok, though. even if they just take dd for awhile, it'll be nice to get some time alone with ds. haven't had that since he was 18mos.
