CPA mom here. Passed the exam last year (mid 30's) after working in banking and wanting a career change. Just hired in a corporate accounting department. I have a long road ahead of me but hope to reach my previous level in a few years after more experience with accounting kicks in.

OP: I had an undergraduate in accounting and MBA in finance so I had the academic credits needed. Did not want to go into public so I found a state where my transcripts would work and no public requirement (Maryland). Took a CPA review course and studied like a maniac for about one year and passed each section one at a time.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
