  • I am having surgery next week to fix an eye problem and am excited and scared. Two hour surgery and a chance it could be complicated if I vomit, and I always do with anesthesia.

          • Yes. But I also vomit when I get "twilight" conscious sedation. It is pretty involved and intricate. I have strabismus in both eyes. They actually will do the surgery, then adjust a couple stiches after the surgery by numbing my eyes and adjusting t m...

    • I told an anesthesiologist I was very sensitve, and he said "thanks for letting me know, I can adjust it for you". And it was no problem. GL.

      • Thanks. I have done that every time. I have had 5 (!! I didn't realize until I counted them recently) surgeries, including my c-section. Every time I tell them my problem and am sure this different anesthesia and anti-emetic combo will work, but no. know I just have to let it go. It just scares me a bit.
