i've been convinced it was matt and chelsea since the hometown date and yet i am now second guessing myself b/c the preview for next week's episode made it "obvious" it was chelsea (and their m.o. usually is to mask things so that the unexpected happe - yes i have too much time on my hands

trust me, i watched it three times - first they show him with shayne and she's on the right and he's on the left then they show chelsea on the left and him on the right - then they show him kneeling and proposing from the right side, looking up at someo on the left (chelsea) - b/c of this "gaffe" i started to think maybe i was wrong, maybe it IS shayne - but i still think it's chelsea

she reminds me of Helene - very standoffish. It is the thrill of the chase that makes her appealing to Matt. Shayne is an infinitely more interesting choice.

[ Reply | Options ]I think he REALLY likes Shayne and he got rid of his second choice last night to send a message to his true love that he is committed to her. They talked about it in the Fantasy suite.
[ Reply | Options ]there's a moment in the fantasy suite with chelsea where she actually winks at him...for just a split second...she's the one he's "planning" things with - probably kept shayne b/c she's only 22 and really not ultimately ready for an engagement and therefore easier to let down at the end than amanda (is that her name?) would have been

first of all (just work with me here), i started to get suspicious when they had their one on one at the ski resort - they made a big deal of the scene where she says "i don't like to hold hands" etc etc - really trying to present her as "cold" or " but then she presents him with her own version of an "invite" to a "fantasy suite" and he accepts (clearly more is going on than we realize, and clearly she is neither "cold" nor "hard") - then, during the hometown dates, shayne and chelsea were the only two women where they showed "exit interviews" with the Bachelor (saying how much he'd enjoyed the dates and was into the women) - in this episode they also ran "extra" footage during the credits of him carrying chelsea down the street in colorado dressed in saloon costumes b/c they had done one of those cheesy photos, but we hadn't seen any of that footage during the show (in other words, there was a lot of very loving/affectionate chelsea stuff they weren't showing us and finally,
[ Reply | Options ]^^^^oops - finally, in the episode where they were on the island, chelsea was all "cold" in the beginning - this is sooooo typical of the bachelor cycle - by this point in the process the "frontrunner" always gets a little "pissy" and "distant" bu b/c she's not into the guy - in fact, it's the opposite - by this point in the process they get fed up with the "game" and the "assurances" that he's "faking it" with the others isn't cutting it any more (especially with the fantasy suite visits taking place) - it works to the producers' advantage b/c it gives them footage that throws the viewers off - remember, just like their earlier one on one, as cold as she appears, when given the opportunity to spend alone time with him she always warms up - and, like i mentioned above, there really and truly was a moment (split second) where she's winks at him (after she changes into the lacy thing) - the type of wink that said "it is so ridiculous that we're still pretending to be unsure of one another" - and, finally, he DID seem to almost blow it in the last episode when talking to amanda (and shane really is just too young for him, though i think he finds her hot)

- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
