do children really lose PDD dx? do you know anyone who did?

        he didn't start school until 4 and he only went 3 days a week - his aba therapist went with him

        that's hard. mine is almost 2 and i think he should go to 2's program but than how would he have his therapies? do you think your ds will lose his dx? or will be mainstreamed?

- My dd did! The initial dx was soft and early, but it was real, and now it's gone.

- yes, my neighbor's son. he had all the classic signs at an early age, lots of intervention & diet changes & now he's a pretty typical seeming 5yo boy. lost his dx a few yrs ago.

- My ds did. He still has some issues - mostly with low tone & pragmatic language, but he is improving. He's 4.

  - NP: what works to help with pragmatic language. That's the last piece of the puzzle for us - so frustrating!

    - Oh, same here. I try modeling, joking around (simply because ds is funny & it keeps the exchange - as simple as it is - going; making sure I always (or almost always) answer a question differently, & social skills group. But it's so hard. I feel bad for ds now because he goes to a ms school & really doesn't have friends anymore because his language is so far behind the other kids. He notices it now.
