  • I am so incredibly done w/ being a SAHM. My lids drive me crazy, fight, makes a huge mess, ungrateful and whiney. BUT, I don't want to go back to work either. Thinking of buying a one way ticket somewhere

        • OP - I did but I feel like all is was just me bitching about something I can't change right now. I mean, they're little, they're jealous of one another, they need to mature a bit.. I can't rush this - it is what it is

          • you need to do silly, useless things like shop (my fav) even if you dont buy anything -- or get a coffee ... nothing that has to do with the house or the kids. remember when you were young :)

            • UGH - dh and I took dcs to park this weekend. I was looking around on our walk home at the young people having brunch w/ a cocktail w/ friends and all of their freedom. I get really down. My life and career was so amazing and exciting and so WAS I

          • LOL, I can't even play with my kids anymore. I loathe the idea of playing on more annoying board game or pretend princess game. I ask them to play with eachother.

      • OR looking for a job, you need to take a small vaca with dh. I just did this and the kids are so much nicer! Dd keeps saying "I love you" out of the blue. They are ont heir best behaviour and you come back refreshed.

    • Have you really thought about going back to work, even part time? Maybe it would be better for all of you, they'd miss you,a nd you'd be happy to see them and have some adult time.

      • OP - well to add more to the story, 2 of my 3 dcs are SN so I really don't have an option to leave right now. The therapy alone is a full time job - keeping on top of things, following through at home. I could never leave that responsibility to a nanny

          • a wonderful, young, smart "babysitter" everyday after school, cleaning lady 2x per week - she does laundry too. I know I'm lucky to have that help BUT I am potty training 2 boys at once (I clean toilets daily) and I MUST do laundry everyday myself. Cle ng up after breakfast takes an hour!!

            • It will get a bit better after they are potty trained, going through that my self now too. Can you drop off your laundry here and there to get a break? Figure out what is the most annoying/bothersome and try to have that taken care of.
