  • What do you think about if the tests were computer generated? the kids sit in front of the screen and touch screen answer?

          • most schools have computers. even the poor ones. just because you're "poor" doesn't mean you don't have tv. my point is that kids my respond better to neutral tester rather than multi personalities of testers

              • i think my 4yr old would definitely respond better to a computer voice than someone who he might be afraid of. you don't know what ticks them off.

                • My 4 yo often 'helps' me when I got to ATM and frequently presses the wrong button by mistake. It is not that easy for 4 yos. They have issues with touchscreen voting machines and you have to be 18 to use them.

            • there are kids that don't go to preschool. i think it woudl even more so bias the test in favor of kids from high SES families.

        • No way. These kids are young. Some haven't been in preschool environments, or only have a few mos of preschool environment before taking the test. You need a live human being to help them.

        • there are many kids who don't watch much or any TV and have never used a computer, and not because they're poor.
