Responding John/Kate post (being irresponsible) I think the doctor was irresponsible. If woman is taking fert meds he/she should be doing an u/s. If she produces too many follicles that cycle, it should be cancelled. Once you have 6 embryos it's real too late to fix problem. Reducing more than one is very risky especially when you have another four or so in there.

[ Reply | Options ]not all of them. clinics vary. some are more conservative than others and focus on singleton pregnancy. others just do whatever it takes for a pregnancy and worry about the number later.

I agree but there IS a difference among clinics and they are all along the spectrum. just commenting on the "all REs" part of the comment.
[ Reply | Options ]^^^even in NY. RMA and NYU tend to be far more cautious and have higher numbers of singleton pregnancies than Cornell and SIRM, for example. all you need to do is look at the stats.
