        • You don't get much done for a while. Sleep whenever you can.

        • It's hard - every kid is so different. Can you and dh alternate getting up? What kind of hours is he/she sleeping? Does he/she nap a lot during the day? We found the more ds slept in the day, the better he slept at night.

        • Because this country sucks when it comes to work/life balance! Are you bf'ing? There may be some things you can do to encourage 3mo to sleep for longer periods of time...

            • Well, if your baby weighs enough, you can try to soothe him/her back to sleep in the middle of the night instead of feeding. Make sure you're swaddling. You can also try to co-sleep, which might encourage longer periods of snoozing.

    • your baby is so young. Very very young to be sleeping through. Are you sleeping with the baby near you, or with you?

        • You can try to encourage him to go back to sleep w/o nursing one time per night. He will learn to make up for it at other feedings. I ebf'd for 13.5 months and was able (with luck, I KNOW) to get ds to sleep through the night at 8wks.

    • Hang in there. my baby is 3 mo and wakes up twice. For my sanity, I pump before bed, which dh feeds to baby for first waking usually btw 1 and 3am. This way I am assured that he is very well fed when he wakes and doesn't necessarily need to feed much more. BF briefly for second waking at around 5am, though not always, sometimes he can be patted/stroked back to sleep

      • you seem to have a very easy baby. I hate to say this but at around 4 months of age all hell will break lose. The infamous sleep regression will kick in.

    • yes, it will get better, but try reading some books on sleeping. We were doing everything wrong with our dd, and after reading one of these books, we realized that while we couldn't sleep train that young, you can set yourself up for success.
