  • A weird question: Is there anyone on who saw their OB *more* than once a month during the early part of the pregnancy? I'm 9 wks prg, following two m/cs, and it's driving me crazy, thinking that I need to wait three weeks before I see the doctor again ( inly because last m/c was at 11 wks, but it turns out the fetus had stopped developing at 7 wks; but I hadn't seen the doctor in that time, so I was walking around for a month, thinking all was fine, when it wasn't). Would it be weird to ask doctor if I could come in for an extra visit, just to make sure all is okay?

    • It's worth asking. I was w/an RE when I got pg and went in every week for blood work, etc. (also had 2mcs). I'd ask.

    • of course it's ok. my OB says anyone who has had a mc can come in weekly for reassurance if they want

      • ^^but i didn't, since i had so many scheduled visits... one at 6 weeks to see a hb, one at 8 weeks to check growth, a CVS at 10 weeks, etc...

    • For my first m/c, I was exactly like you--scheduled for a 12 week sono, started bleeding at 11 weeks, fetus had stopped developing at 6 weeks. I was pissed I wasted a month! Next preg, he did a sono at 7 weeks to see heartbeat, then I went every 3 weeks.

    • op: Okay, just called and am going in next week (so, two weeks from last visit). But I really want to go in this week. Am at work and can't concentrate from anxiety. Feel somewhat less nauseated than yesterday and am paranoid that something is wrong.
