      • ita. or at the very least, teaches you the right portions to eat to maintain a healthy weight. so, you could eat junky food and stay within your points but you learn how much better you feel if you eat good food.

          • I've only been to one - just started - but it's nice being in a room of people with whom you have something in common. must be sort of what aa meetings feel like, no judgments.

            • i can see how a local meeting would be very helpful, talking about local restaurants and healthy choices, etc... among other things, obviously

                  • probably, depends on your BMI -- how tall are you and how old?

                      • this is what it says when i plugged it in for you: et You are within the BMI range of 20-25 considered by experts as healthy for your height and weight. For most people within this range, the focus should be on not gaining weight. If, however, you have gained weight, you may want to get back to a previous healthy weight. Some health conditions are linked with weight gain during the adult years, even within the healthy weight range.

                        • by the way, 115 is a bmi of 20 for you, so that's probably not that sustainable as you age... sounds like your focus should be on exercising and preventing weight gain. congrats, by the way. you sound like you're in good shape!

                        • start exercising first, and you may feel like drinking less. (one glass a night is healthy, though.)

              • i think it just has to be reasonable for you to be losing weight -- like, they wouldn't let someone who shouldn't lose weight lose weight. i know someone who used WW to lose 13 lbs (she went to meetings)

        • b/c on WW you can still drink wine and eat cheese and go eat a fattening meal every once in a while and go to any restaurant you want -- it allows you to have a life and still lose weight.
