nursing a 23lb 9mo sucks! he squirms, kicks, pulls, fidgets ... maddening! I am so ready to be done

- Nursing older babies is a little like having a wrestling match in your lap! Don't worry, you'll get more used to it, its kind of funny. Also, don't stick to set nursing times, wait for him to ask you to nurse.

  - op, don't listen to this poster, they just suffered and want you to do so as well. you've nursed long enough for db to get the most benefit, and it sounds like he is ready to move on a faster flow. good job!

- This is one of the reasons why I stopped nursing at 3 months. I found it so physically demanding with a newborn, a 23 lb wiggly baby would have sent me over the edge.
