  • D2 parents - who are not interested in District G&Ts, please don't rank them. Our DC got 95% and really want 116 or 11. If you are only interested in Citywide, do not even list it. There won't be any wait list. Thank you.

    • The DOE says that if we don't rank ALL of them (leave out, as you suggest), they will invalidate our application and we won't get anything so not doing that. Sorry.

      • This is incorrect. You are not guaranteed a placement if you don't list all programs but DOE clearly said not to rank any programs where you would not accept placement.

          • So, this is illogical. If you don't rank all of them you are not guaranteed a spot. Including no spot of any of the ones you DO rank? So what's the incentive to leave anything blank if there's the 'threat' that DC doesn't get a spot anywhere pote .

            • You are WRONG. They guarantee because they can go lowest of your choice if you really want ANY of the G&Ts. If y ou don't take your lower choice, you do NOT rank them. Get it?

            • you are eligible for a spot at any school you rank. if you don't rank all the schools and you don't score high enough to get into one of the schools you ranked, you won't get a spot. seems pretty easy to understand to me.
