  • My 3.5 yo ds wakes at night (around 3am) and wants to come in our bed. We don't let him but were going into his bed, then stopped that and were sitting in chair in his room - are trying to stop that. It is so awful. He was awake for almost 2 hours last n ht crying and negotiating!

        • you tell the kid he can come in and sleep close to you if he needs to, but he needs to be quiet and not wake you up, if he wakes you up, he goes back to his room. Tell him mom and dad need sleep so they can be fun the next day and not grumpy. Use a crib mattress if you still have yours around.

          • not sure dh will even go for that. #2 uses the crib mattress but maybe just blankets on the rug - if it's not comfy maybe he will go back to his room.
