I just did major research on this. Basically its more about how much you want to spend. YOu can get them that will last until the kids are 10-13 if they remain interested, or smaller ones that are good for 7-9 years (kidwise)
[ Reply | Options ]the ones we're looking at are not huge, b/c the space we have available is not huge.

that's what we're looking at. if you don't mind saying, which one did you get? and which wood and (just curious) which accessories?
[ Reply | Options ]We actually went with the "Star" which is part of their playtime series line. Next choice would have been the Chesepeake
[ Reply | Options ]^^^ we also really wanted a brand which a local dealer / rep in case we needed maintenance down the road. This seemed to be a good fit.
[ Reply | Options ]we're considering the chesapeake. dh hates them all tho -- he'd rather have nothing in our yard at all.
[ Reply | Options ]lol.... you must be married to my DH. We've been fighting for WEEKS about this. If you get the ches. make sure your dealer includes handrails on the ladder - I think they're key.
[ Reply | Options ]funny, I was just looking at those and thinking I should get those included. I finally had to tell dh that we'd have to move back to the city, b/c at least there, we had a playground w/i walking distance; now we have to drive to one. so he caved (reluct tly). I did say we could get rid of it in 10 years ;-)
