What about the person below who has a 62% on the Verbal and 89% on nonverbal and wound up with a 99%. The verbal is a much smaller section, only 12 questions.
[ Reply | Options ]^^oops misread the first post. as I said, I assume it's the relative weighting. FWIW dc blew through the roof on verbal on both ERB and SB, so I'm confused by the score.

Not questioning, but this post made me thing. DC had 65% on Verbal, 95% non-Verbal, 93% total. Bracken was 96%
[ Reply | Options ]What birthday month. This is the same as poster above that scored 97% overall on OLSAT.

Hi, I'm the poster with the dc with 97. We were March too. I think there's a really steep curve on norming for the early part of the year on a test with this few questions. I know Jan-March kids who got one more right than my DC on the OLSAT and got a 9 2 more right=99.

We got 1 more right on the Non-Verbal. I think that hurt, but it was the Bracken that really got you. I think that the overall percentage was based on a scaled score that may have combined the raw scores of the OLSAT and Bracken, thus a few extra right on the Bracken (within the 99th percentile) helped bring up the overall score.
[ Reply | Options ]Oh yeah, I know. Funny thing is, DC did well (3 sections all right, 1 section 1 mistake, 1 section 2 mistakes...and then on the Comparisons, 3/10). Maybe he got tired or something.
[ Reply | Options ]I think the comparisons were ambigious. That's where my dc got 2 wrong and others I know report similar results. I think there was also great variability in the testing--at some sites they took a long time with the kids (over an hour) at ours everyon ewa everyone was out in under 40 minutes.

You know what. I'm sorry. I was above poster. It was a 96% on nonverbal, I just checked. Not thaa that makes much more sense. And only 2 wrong on the bracken.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
