God, my no-knead bread smells soooooo good. So glad I got on the no-knead bandwagon. The bread is fantastic and it's so easy to do! Frugal moms, pay attention!

OP: Here it is. The one recommendation is that you do two tsp of salt rather than 1.25: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/08/dining/081mrex.html?ex=1320642000&en=d5976d62a4577548&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

I have attempted this at least 5 times and failed on each. Mine never rises, and I get a dense blob that's about 2 inches tall. The dough doesn't rise when I fold it and put it in the cloth. What am I doing wrong?

I think the keys are 1) fully incorporate dry ingredients before adding water. 2) Add lukewarm wa and don't pay attention to the recipe amount (this is approx) -- judge it by when the dough gets the right consistency, which is not supergloppy but not too dry either, 3) you must preheat the dutch oven... Another place to look is www.breadtopia.com, which also offers a lot of advice. (You can see I got a bit nutty about this once I started...) GL!

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
