  • someone please flame me. WOHM here and I have been so exhausted the last 2 weeks that I've let my 2 yo watch an hour of TV when I get home in the evening so I can just schlump in exhaustion. I really don't like the way this feels, though, or the precede it sets...

    • Can't flame you. My dd watches way more than 1 hour of TV when I work late. But she's doing great and so will your 2 y/o.

    • i'm a sahm in 1st trimester and have let dd watch way more tv the past week then ever. it's not a habit. will pass. relax.

    • Well, the fact you recognize this is good. But don't beat yourself up about it. Where is dh? Can he play with her while you take a bath or a shower or have some time to unwind?

    • let her watch for a 1/2 hr. then turn it off and read books together on the couch. you should feel very guilty

    • oh my goodness--this is just one phase of your life. When you're less exhausted, you'll stop doing it. Have been through these periods myself, but right now ds watches like 10 mins a day tops.
