  • ok, boss moms--i am going to go back to work for a three day week--do you think that it would be better to put those hours over 4 days? (ie: work 5.25 hours over 4 days instead of 7 hours a day)

    • I think you are more likely to end up staying longer if you work the 4-day week. The extra day at home would be nice too.

    • not a boss mom but i work ft ... work 3 full days, you'll never be able to leave on time if you work 4 short days and things will always come up last minute.

    • you mean, from the perspective of the boss? If so, then yes, because you'll more likely be there when issues arise. For you, though, no-- 4 days would not be better, because you'll end up staying later more and more often, it will be awkward to leave wh e others are still hard at work, etc. You'll get a bum deal.

    • for me, i would rather know that you are basically available 3 days a week and know that I can't reach you the other two - versus trying to remember what hours you are working and is it too early/late to get ahold of you, etc

    • You'll end up working full-time hours at a part-time pay rate

    • I did this -- I worked 3 days. (It was entirely up to me bc I billed by the hour.) 3 days was best.
