  • The year my dd went to A, the SB cutoff was 96. The 96 kids aren't dumber than the 99 kids. Really. What the on site did was choose kids who seemed to be similar learners. 99 scorers were rejected and 96s were accepted. Same at Hunter. Taking siblin s, who might be lower scorers, will not damage these schools!

    • One of dc's teachers used to teach at Hunter. She claimed test was just a way to get the number down. The real selecting happened at the on site.

    • I know what you are saying but extremely smart kids actually don't make better students. But that is not same as saying they are not smarter. I know there are smarter kids than my dd but my dd is best student in the class bec of other factors like motiva ion.
