    • It's not being blindly pro-cop. It's looking at the situation objectively, in this case, I think the cops acted justly, though with a tragic result. For example, Abner Louima cops were disgusting and deserved every bit of scorn they received

        • OR: Full disclosure, I am a prosecutor and have met many, fantastic police officers. That said I have met many bad ones as well, police are people and there are good cops and bad cops just as there are good people and bad people.

          • And I believe if these cops could tell them how sorry they were that it happened like that, they would. But then they look guilty

    • I am not in NY, so I haven't been following the case closely, but when Al Sharpton gets involved my instinct is to side w/the cops.

    • i think it's a handful of police wives. the rage is palpable, and there's no nuance at all in their opinions. This is a big problem w/police and their families. They tend to isolate themselves over time, only talk to each other and reinforce each other\ bitterness and anger at the rest of the public that just doesn't understand what they go through. This is how a lot of cops end up developing an us vs. them mentality against the public.
