            • it's a school that's uncomfortable with what it really is. Some weak academically schools are cool with it (Calhoun), CGPS is trying to fake it

                • neither of those schools are "weak academically". They are not as rigorous or intense as some, but that doesn't make them weak in an absolute sense.

                        • np: the classes are not that big, so just assume no more than 2 at each college. You are grasping at straws and posting a meaningless criticism

                        • nnp: Exactly, it is a good list regardless. We can assume that a few each to HYP, maybe 10 to U of Wisconsin (just b/c I heard they send lots there) and from one to ten at the other schools.

                        • if there are 2 at each college in your laundry list...then this list is so much worse than Riverdale. If you do not realize that a laundry list of about 65 colleges does not convey meaningful info. then you and your DC truly belong at CGPS

                        • my kids aren't there and not of anage where I'm worried about this. It is a well rounded list of schools. The class is not thatg big, so my analysis still stands...you must have been a liberal arts grad.

                        • this was a multi-year laundry list. I found the shorter 2006 list from Peterson's. SAT mean scores for the class of 2006 were 640 verbal and 640 math. Graduates of the class of 2006 are attending the following colleges and universities: Bard, Barnard, Bates, Boston University, Bowdoin, Brown, Colgate, College of Charleston, Columbia, Connecticut College, Cornell, Dartmouth, Emory, Fordham, George Washington, Goucher, Hamilton, Hartwick, Ithaca, Kenyon, Lehigh, Lincoln, McDaniel, Northwestern, NYU, Oberlin, Princeton, Sarah Lawrence, Skidmore, SUNY Binghamton, Tufts, Union, University of the Arts, USC, Vanderbilt, Vassar, Wesleyan, Wheaton, Yale, and the Universities of Chicago, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rochester, Toronto, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
