      • Can I ask some specific questions? 1) The afterschool pgm looks great, but after searching, it looks like it was almost on the chopping block this year. Any thoughts on the program and its future? 2) Is there really an emphasis on science, tech and mat math?

        • Afterschool program is privately run, not funded by school. There was an issue with some of the upper school programs this year as upper school parents were not contributing to school in same proportion as lower school parents. PTA allocated funds so th ose programs wouldn't be reduced and is striving to get more donations from upper school parents.

    • Do you think the lower school is a pressure cooker? Is it nurturing? Is the parent body relatively cohesive?

    • How much homework is there approximately through the lower school years? Does the neighborhood worry you at all or a plus?

      • I have a 1st grader there. Supposed to read aloud to parent about 20 minutes per night. Assigned pages in workout or handouts, due on Fridays. Maybe 15 minutes per day to get it done at most. K homework was less.
