  • my sister is dating someone who works in ny and miami. he just told her he is leaving for a trip to miami tomorrow. could be 3 days, 2 weeks or forever. she is okay about it because she is dating other people too, but it sounds so odd to me.

    • sounds fine to me. she knew he traveled for work, didnt get too attached and is letting things be as they are. sounds healthy to me.

          • better to be vague and honest than to pretend he has an interest then suddenly disappear. sounds like your sister dealt with the situation as it was given. she didn't count on him to stay around. so when heleaves, she's ok with it.

    • Sounds like he might have choice #1 in Miami but he doesn't want to burn bridges with your sister if that doesn't work out. Sounds like she's okay with it though.
