Help me figure this out, please. I'm too tired! Going to England for 5 1/2 days with 8 mo. How many diapers should I bring (won't be able to get out to buy 'em there). I estimated about 40 (to be safe) plus those for night. Sound right?

OP: Screw you all for your "help." We have a really difficult life/death situation there. We won't be able to get out. It's just easier for us to bring. So get off your f-ing high horses and don't reply if you don't like the question!

good gried - it was such a silly question - you know how many diapers your child uses. you just asked for it.
[ Reply | Options ]You're a total bitch. I just wanted to think it through with someone. My mother was just diagnosed with cancer this week, my MIL is dying of parkinsons, I have premie twin babies. GIVE ME A BREAK!
[ Reply | Options ]ignore everyone who is being bitchy. don't get emotionally involved with ub. use it as a tool for info, and ignore every response that doesn't give you exactly that
[ Reply | Options ]np: how on earth would we know what you are going through by your original post? Just bring the diapers (40) sounds good.Or, on the way in from the airport, have taxi stop at a supermarket or Boots. I hope your trip goes well.

ita a stop on the way in to where ever you are going would be a nice solution. This could be the same for formula, wipes, other baby stuff. It would cut down on your packing which I know is a hassle. Is dh going with you? I'm sure someone can go to the store for you. Just trying to off an easier less stressful solution to a situation that sounds pretty hectic.

sorry for everything but you are really being hyper-sensitive. that said, here is my advice. either bring a big ass pack - usually 50-60 diapers....who knows if baby might get diahhrea or soemthing. or go to amazon.uk and ship everything to inlaw's ho e. that seems to be the easiest thing to do

i asked above why you couldn't buy them there. once you answered, i get it. is your dh from there? he's not ok driving? how are you getting to and from the airport? all that said, i'm sorry to hear that your in laws are ill. i know how that can be and visits are so different when that is the situation. ignore the rest here.

i'd bring about 40 yes. don't take them out of the pkg so they'll be as flat as possible.

40 doesn't sound like enough to me. could you just buy a jumbo box of them and check it in as-is?

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
