  • HElP. dd 3yo, had a terrible time falling asleep last night. She went in at 8:30, not asleep until 10. Woke at 2:30am with a nightmare, hysterically crying. She is exhausted and won't nap. very cranky & not herself. What can it be? any thoughts? TIA!

        • a little. sounds like she had a bad night. i feel bad for you and for her, but i think thinking it's "something" just shows a level of over-worrying that imo isn't healthy. you asked. i think it's a bad night. i think you should relax and give her a break. she's having a bad day and night. she's not 3 mos. she's 3 years!

          • I am not over worrying far from it. But she is having a bad day as a result of a bad night. Maybe just maybe there is another parent on who has had a similar experience and might offer some helpful advice.

    • Maybe she's getting sick? When my dd's sleep habits change, a day or two later she always comes down with something.
