a mom in my very middle class nabe was just telling me her dd wants to get her hair done and buy a $200 dress for her 5th grade graduation party. what next, kindergarten prom?

Oldest is 14 yo. Youngest is 18 mo. I don't assume it's HS style just b/c of the dress and hair. 5th grade girls are 11-13 yo. A lot of them like to get their hair done, even if there is no special event. As for the dress, nice ones can get pretty pri y, unfortunately. Even the simplest nice dress could run you over $100

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
