  • anyone rent a house from their parents or in-laws? we're contemplating it: my folks want to buy a house (they have money to invest) and we'd pay them rent. i'm afraid b/c there are already boundary issues. anyone btdt?

          • no, we live about 2 hours north of them. they want to invest in real estate, and we could use a house that's a bit closer to my job with a bit more room -- but if this oppty didn't come up, we'd be fine where we are and probably wouldn't move right n

      • they can afford to invest the money now, but there's no reason why they should pay for us to have a place to live. plus, considering the boundary issues, it only makes sense for us to treat it as a business thing, and not have to "owe" them -- kwim?
