  • DF w/H addicted neice: if an adult refuses to go to a detox center, what do you do? kick her out at age 21?

    • yep, they have to want it but you can't let them make your own life toxic. I learned this from TV btw.

      • she's in a methadone program, but she disappears for long periods with no explanation, buys odd food, her behavior is off the charts, etc. I think you should be able to force someone to be committed to a center, is it ever possible?

    • a 21 year old shouldn't be living at home anyway. If they aren't in college they should be supporting themselves
