  • good friend who just left her job to be sahm to 3yo and 9mo is always saying she's 'bored.' i swear to god, i want to smack her. thanks for letting me vent.

    • sahm here. she is bored. I had a jealous wohm friend too-it strained our rel. b/c of course she missed her db so much and couldnt understand my whining. now she sah and is like WHOA! this is ahrd. both are hard. grass is always greener

    • why is that so awful of her? It can be boring to be a sahm. Lovely and wonderful, too, but not 100% of the time. Smack her sounds harsh.

      • i'm a sahm in the same situation, my dh works away from home a lot. i can understand 'frustrated' or 'stressed' or even 'mind-numbing' being at home with kids. but "bored"? the choice of word is what gets me. we're not 14 any more, get over it. ll about her.

        • Oh, well, to me i would be less upset by a friend saying sometimes it's boring to be a sahm than someone who said "this is mind-numbing" -- it's all semantics tho, right? sounds like you guys have a not so great relationship... maybe time to distance self?
