If you have an especially gifted child with mild Aspergers, where would you send them to school? Mainstream? Is there a SN school for high-functioning kids who are very very bright but need help socially? (Sorry for the ignorance....)

        • the public NEST programs are great for that. If you want private, plenty of the SN privates like that sort of a profile. Summit comes to mind.

          • I remember on a tour that NEST specifically said they have no programs/services for children with special needs.

            • not NEST + M...every district has or will have a NEST program which is for asperger's kids.

    • I would look into the ASD NEST program. There was a boy in my DC's class last year exactly like that and Mom is thrilled with the ASD NEST program. If you give me your region # I will give you the contact person. I have the list of that I got at the turning 5 orientation.
