  • Moms of dc's with recurrent ear infections - do you take dc to ped for every single fever? I sort of feel obligated to, b/c they find an ear infection at least half the time.

    • i kept them informed since we ended up having tubes put in. Not one infection after that.

    • how old is your dc? mine is 7 mos and he's getting tubes next week for recurrent ear infections, (actually, the same infection he's had for 6 weeks and won't go away. . .)

    • Yes, and, if asked my opinion, would recommend a person do this. My son had seven ear infections in four months. The last one created a freak infection which required emergency surgery and several days in the hospital. Never hurts to be prudent.

    • i did, until we got the tubes in. my dd had an ear infection every other month. it was awful
