Don't have $30K for Kindergarten and are not zoned for a good PS. Are there any NYC schools that are sliding scale or run around $10K? tia

      - np- this is what we did. moved to a much more modest apartment in a much better school zone. all in all cheaper than 13 yrs of private.

    - NP: MCS is "a private school with a public mission" - very diverse in every way. 96th bet 5th and Mad, K-8. One class per grade. Best entry point is the 4-5s, but it is not easy to get in. If you're committed to civil rights, it helps.

- catholic schools are btwn 4-6k. Also you can apply for Aid with the privates. Manhattan Country school is on a sliding scale

- International schools less (20K) and Caedmon low 20s, Parochials about 16. Privates sorry to say were 32 to 34.5 for the two we got into, so be prepare for even more next year.

- Apply for FA. Look into MCS - I think that's the name. Manhattan Country School? I think they have a sliding scale. None of the other privates are even close to $10k. Would you consider parochial?
