I prepared my list for next year: Chapin, Brearley, Trinity, Horace Mann. What do you think? Is this enough. My zoned school is PS6

- Depends. How comfortable are you sending dd to PS 6? Not saying that to be snarky, but w/ that list SO is a good possibility even for a great dc.

        Hmmmmm. The ss schools might look at that as being somewhat of a leg application (one of them did for my dd, whose aunt is an alumna). Good luck!

        OP: I find D. too progressive for DD. Plus, DD is not the A-type. Also the fact that DD is not a social butterfly makes me be worried about Spence as a fit. The Spence girls I know are socialites

    - Dalton is really for self-directed children. Just because a girl is bright, doesn't mean she's a good fit for Dalton. If you are the kind of child who likes to be told very specifically what the teacher wants, Dalton is not a good place. I was like this s a child and would not have liked Dalton.
