  • So I have very infrequent irregular periods, have only had 1 since January, just got a positive pg test (yeah!). My obgyn will need to do an u/s to date the pregnancy - how early can they do that? Do I go right away or wait a couple of weeks?

    • OB will probably want you to go right away. I was the same way, was sent in immediately b/c I didn't know if I was 4 weeks pg or 10 weeks - turned out I was 9.

    • they can see a sac in the 4-5 week range, but you'll have to be 6 weeks to see a heartbeat. If you had some negatives tests along the way that would help date, you could kind of have an idea...
