  • First ever bikini wax tomorrow - how long can I expect to be there, what should I wear, will I be embarrassed and most importantly how bad will this hurt?

    • Take motrin about 1/2 an hour before you go, it will cut down the pain (which is not too bad anyway).

    • 1/2 hour, wear loose-fitting pants (soft fabric), you'll only be embarrassed if it's your personality to be so, and it won't hurt *that* badly if you're not pms'ing or menstruating & if you take 3 advil beforehand.

    • 45 minutes. wear a small thong. get over the embarassment, they do it all day and take a few tylenol 1/2 hr beforehand. you'll do fine!

    • A good esthetician will be very professional so no need to be anymore emabarassed than you would at the gyno. Take two advil 30min before appt to dull the sting a little. Wear a g-string.

    • wear a pair of undies that you don't care about in case they get wax. or, they may give you paper ones. usually I just have to hold mine over.
