my controlling dh has promised he will move out. i told him i will go to couples therapy, but i'm not very hopeful, because i'm not sure how the controlling can stop. has anyone dealt with this?

well, I would focus on that, it will give him credibility compared to 1 hour of therapy a week.
[ Reply | Options ]at this point, he only wants to move out, because every day he comes home i am just filled with venom and rage. he's crying and depressed. it's very sad.

i've been asking him for a few weeks. he keeps saying he will, but so far, he hasn't. i would be out of here by now.

that's funny. i am controlling. BUT, right now, the things he does, literally impede my life and ability to enjoy it.

well....during the first years, he wouldn't touch me sexually. that was about 3 years. ........ that has started to change...
[ Reply | Options ]who the cleaning lady? she can but it's a whole production to him. and the other children? they can't come whether he is here or not. because people might see his papers and he can't have to put away his papers just so his kids can have their frien over when they are only toddlers

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
