  • Does anyone know about the "entry grade" concept in with respect to G&T programs? In the inside schools chart, there were some schools listed as K and others as 1. Does a 1 mean that there's no K G&T program and, presumably, some kids will need to attend a regular K in their zoned school and change schools to attend G&T for 1st grade? I hope this isn't the case.

      • So if they have a listing for Qualifiers in non entry first grade" that means the number of kids who qualify for first grade gifted class even though there is no entry within the district?

      • This is true. My district in Forest Hills (28) only had programs that started in 1st grade, but they also only accepted kids from that very elementary school (not district wide), so I figured the rules would be changing this year. If that wasn't the case, we would have never had our pre-k kids take the OLSAT (except for the very few that would have sent the kids into the city if acepted to a citywide).
