      • ds naps for an hour and a half in the am, but his afternoon nap (usually about 3 1/2 hours after his morning nap, only lasts for 30 mins. Should I get him out or let him cry and he will fall back asleep? a 20 min nap in the pm does not seem enough?

          • though about this too...but he gets up at 6:00am onn the dot, and he needs that morning nap at 9:30am, I guess I try to push it 15 mins each day until I get closer to noon?

            • Oh, if he is getting up at 6 AM try moving the morning nap to 8:30 or 9.

              • I would, but I'm taking dd to preschool at that time, but thanks, that would be the perfect solution...

                • Ah, bummer. Your ds sounds like mine was at ten mo and navigating someone else's schedule as well would definitely have thrown a kink into things.

            • I think too early for this at 10 mos (of course some kids do drop a nap early!)

        • Try moving his afternoon nap earlier- closer to three hours. You may also try waking after an hour (from the morning nap) but I'm not a fan of that tactic

          • I agree with this. leave morning nap alone, if db wakes at 11, back down at 2, not 2:30. see how that works. no matter what, leave in crib for one hour. GL!
