Some guy is claiming I had a fender bender with him when I didn't. What are the odds he's going to have 'damage' to his car that was already there and I get stuck paying the bill?

if you didnt' do it, you didn't do it. He's scamming you--trying to get you to agree to "settle."
[ Reply | Options ]If nothing happened, don't worry. Damage to his car would have to include paint from your car. He also should have an accident report, and there's likely no witness. Don't worry, insurance companies see this all the time and know how to deal with it. F Finally, remember that you have insurance anyway, so you're OK!

That happens a lot too. At some point, stories get mixed up and convoluted. Trust in the process. And in the worst-case scenario, you still have insurance. It's just some money (and likely nothing out of your pocket). Keep it in perspective and try not t to think about this or let it permeate into your life.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
