Can anyone tell me when/if pragmatics kicked in a bit for your 4 yr old? My ds is 4 1/2 & while his language has improved greatly, he vascillates between talking nonsense (i.e. about cartoons as if they are real) and sometimes seeming to be on the cusp o of "getting it". I don't know. He's such a big boy now and it's like I see his SNs just glaring at me when up until now I convinced myself he was making progress. I'm so tired of the roller coaster. So do pragmatics ever happen?
