        • i think it depends on your deductions. and the ratio of deductions to income. its different for every person.

          • but in nyc, we all have big deductions because of the high ny state and city tax. so it kicks at a very low income threshold for us

    • that's not the only issue though, the tax code is moronic. and it all depends on where you live, that should count toward your taxes for federal, nto just the amount you make, if you lived in kansas making 200k, you wouldn't complain about amt because y would have the extra cash likely. in nyc, it doesn't go very far
