  • 34 wks pg and been out of breath for the last 48 hrs. only laying down helps. should i bother the doctor with this? is there anything they'd do besides tell me to lay on my side?

    • i would tell the doctor for peace of mind, but being out of breath is really normal at the end of pregnancy

      • it is only relieved after laying down for about 45 min and not doing anything. maybe i'll call when they open to be safe

          • i was able to sleep after about an hour in bed but as soon as i got up, showered and dressed, i was completely winded again. i'm laying on my couch now, not at work.

                • i had the same thing, although it sounds like it was not as bad. even if the doctor can't do anything (you might just be carrying very high) it will get better when your baby drops. for me, this was the most uncomfortable time of pregnancy!

                  • yes, i keep hearing that once the baby drops, i'll feel some relief. i dont think it helps that i'm very short/small framed and have gained more than 40 lbs so far. everything must be so squished in there!
