Because people work in industries where they know these things. Not looking from answers from the SAHMs for this. [ Reply | More ]

WhatsApp and Wickr are more secure - both are mainly messaging apps, though. I know Snapchat is trying to be more of a Facebook replacement now, but a lot of users don't like this and will move to other platforms. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I own a company..hired an assistant, smart but makes a lot of stupid mistakes, does tasks too fast, doesn't check her work before turning it in. How do I motivate her to want to do a better job? She's been with me 2 months, wondering if I should fire her and look for someone else.? 16 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Is she young? Train her to triple-check her work. [ Reply | More ]

Part of this might be the millennial situation. They are a different animal. My assistant is a millennial and I have trained her and trained her and trained her - it took some coddling, but she has turned out to be a wonderful assistant. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, it takes some work. Mine was prickly when I explained that she should never send a spreadsheet to someone without setting up headers, footers and print areas... [ Reply | More ]

This is what my partner thinks, it's the culture. She whips thru tasks but they are rarely done correctly, thinks speed is more important than accuracy [ Reply | More ]

Spell out the rules very explicitly. Teach her in detail how to do things and why they need to be done that way. TRAIN her. Pay her well and it should work. If not, then she wasn't the right girl for you [ Reply | More ]

I have spent 2 months training her, yet find the same dumb mistakes, recently double paid some invoices that she paid but didn't tell me she paid and didn't stamp as paid. Spelling mistakes. Leaving jobs 90percent finished, I have to triple check her work. [ Reply | More ]

Tell her, show her, give one more chance. Then fire her if she doesn't improve [ Reply | More ]

I feel like I was like this 20 years ago. A few times of getting work returned to me with a million flags was quite humbling and made me a bit of a perfectionist. 2 mo is still pretty new. I'd give her more time. [ Reply | More ]
