It's part of her career. She has to look around at her acting friends and realize this. It's extremely tough. My dear friend is an actress and didn't get a break on Broadway until she was 41. She worked regional theater, commercials etc until then. This might not cheer up a 23 y/o but that's the reality. I would say she should hang out with more "acting" friends. [ Reply | More ]

don't need a changing table - don't need a playmat - if you are bf you need a good pump. I didn't buy bottles - just used the ones that came from docs office and hospital (got extras) to store. I d/a--I used the changing table and I also used a playmat, was nice to set the baby up on her mat while I did chores, read a book, etc. I also loved having a nice ear thermometer and still use it with my now-toddler. Nose-frida was my one off-the-wall absolute necessity, so much better than the blue snot bulb you get at the hospital and you really need one. I agree-splurge on the best pump you can, I rented a hospital grade pump and it made a huge difference re: comfort. Eligible for your flexible spending account if you have one. just in general. I was cheated on and broke up with my long term bf... Then I met my dream man a few months after my breakup, but he was into my best friend. They're starting to get serious and I'm a bit jealous. [ Reply | More ]

Oh man!, This is a hard one, unfortunately life is unfair and it sucks sometimes to be us, but this time even if it is hard you need to put on your smiley face even if inside you feel not so good about it, and it is ok to feel jealousy you just got out of a rough patch. Just wish her the best because she stills your best friend. GL! [ Reply | More ]

If you have to show up for a friend for something and he/she will be the center of attention, just show up. You don't need to turn it into your saga of unhappiness. Just be there. Easier if it's a group thing as opposed to one on one. [ Reply | More ]

Wow--I cannot relate at all!! I'm not walking the AIDS walk, but did just get back from a 5K for a very good cause and our general attitude wasn't "it's raining, this sucks," it was "let's do this for all the fallen police officer's families--they are in a worse position than we are, so let's help!" It's all relative. I'm not sure that OP realizes that those folks actually walking in this weather are focusing on the GOOD, not the rain. [ Reply | More ]

I heard that the vast majority of the money does not go to the fund. I would much rather just donate 30 dollars to a good cause than donate 30 dollars towards a 5k fee and know that the fund is getting maybe 7 of those dollars. [ Reply | More ]
