I'm 50 and I was you a few years ago. Menopause hit and I can no longer handle alcohol very well. When I stopped drinking so much (I did 1-2 drinks a night), I noticed how much better I felt. Try drying out a bit and see how you feel. Drinking actually makes things harder, not easier. There are other ways to relax and feel good. [ Reply | More ]

It is strange though when your parents start aging. I just had to text my mother and tell her not to let my dad go snowblow everyone's driveway. When we used to have older neighbors, he would do it (for free, obviously) so they wouldn't have to do it themselves or pay someone. Now he IS the older neighbor and I don't want him out there "doing favors" for everyone. [ Reply | More ]

Really? This happens to me in doctors offices all the time. Not by our ped but the front office staff or nurse who doesn't know us well will often refer to me or address me as mom.
