It is just the financial expectations of the woman's friends and family. If a husband in Manhattan can not provide a TT lifestyle his wife may be very supportive but her friends and family will whisper behind his back that he is a looser. [ - ] Is it time to leave? We have $650k in the bank, totally leveraged into an advised line at 2.5%. Own a $3MM apartment, UES, mortgage of $1MM. Own a weekend house $650k; mortgage of $520k, at 3%, but has rental income of $1,700 that really brings down our monthly. 1 DC in private, only $15k per year, and one year left, other in public, other in day care, $24k for the year. HHI is $400kish, and also $650k in 401k. I have stock options that will hit n 3 years, given to me at $250k, now valued at $270k (a year later), and hopefully more in 3 years. Do we leave NYC, either sell the apartment, or rent it, (could get $7500, and it costs me $5k), and move to the weekend house, where the commute is rough (but I work from home a lot), but life is way cheaper.... 22 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Could be an injury--blood bruise. [ Reply | More ]

It's dirt or blood. The early stage of fungus usually causes the nail to separate from the bed. That's white. [ Reply | More ]

Did you bang your finger or get it caught in a door? I banged my finger on something and have had a blood blister under the nail for a while. It's finally clearing it but it took a few weeks. [ Reply | More ]

When it's fungus usually the whole nail gets dark or a large portion of it (IME anyways - I'm a runner). If it's just a small spot, maybe just a blood blister. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Disappointed to find out two colleagues had been going around saying I'm unqualified for my supervisory position. Just got promoted out of the division, so I will be happy to not deal with them any more but as we are still with the same company, how should I act when encountering them? Like I know what they said or as if I never heard? 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Ignore. I was in a similar situation years ago when I got promoted to manage people that were formerly my colleagues. It was also my first time in a managerial role. They talked shit, tried to undermine me, rile my confidence. I used to take things personally and let it get to me, then I just stopped giving a shit. [ Reply | More ]

Agree with everything that was said. Also, id you were promoted to a role they could have been up for an didn't attain just know that it is not really about you at all but is meant to justify why they couldn't get the promotion if you could [ Reply | More ]
