[ - ] I work FT. I'd like Fridays off as of next year. Will be my 13th year at this place. Willing to extend other days to make up for SOME of the lost hours, but will still fit in the same amount of clients. What is the best way to present this idea to my boss so she considers it? I can't work from home since what I do is face to face. 7 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

What type of work do you do? Maybe some clients would prefer to interact on off hours, and sometimes those off hours can be highly productive. Do you have any clients you think might prefer that? Can you run it by your boss as a trial first, and then work super hard during the trial to show that it would be beneficial to the workplace? [ Reply | More ]

Child no, me yes. They're caused by viruses and can grow back. Once, I had the podiatrist remove it with a scalpel, which didn't hurt: I wanted to return to running ASAP and didn't have the patience for repeated chemical treatments. The second time I took care of it myself with an OTC preparation, you apply it repeatedly. Your DC would probably prefer having the doctor work on it. [ Reply | More ]

OR - my understanding is that it's always under the skin: the viruses enter through a crack in your heel or the ball of your foot and start reproducing. Since it was thick dead skin on the outside, cutting it didn't hurt, though I think a child might need some local anesthesia. [ Reply | More ]

One child, the wart disappeared within 2 weeks. The other child it took MONTHS to get the wart to finally go away. I also gave thuja by boiron to boost the immune system. My third child who was not complaining with her wart I did the treatment at home (filed it down with a nail file, put on OTC wart remover, gave thuja) and it went away on its own within 2 weeks. I got one when I was 7 on the bottom of my foot and it multiplied over the years. Walking was uncomfortable. I finally had it removed when I was 15. It took many uncomfortable treatments of scraping and freezing, and walking was really painful, but one day this huge chunk of flesh fell off and the warts were finally gone. I wish my parents had taken me to the doctor when I first got it. I suspect it would have been easier to remove. [ Reply | More ]
