I don't know if it is typical, but I remember my sixth grade teacher (in 1975) reading Helter Skelter to us. We really enjoyed it. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] For people who don't vaccinate their kids, how do you feel about being responsible for the outbreaks of measles around the country where vaccinations have been rejected or spread out too far apart? You can justify all you want for refusing to get your kid the protection they need, but it's irrefutable that in areas of high anti-vaxxers there have been outbreaks. Doesn't take a genius to spell it out. 16 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

If the layoff was part of a restructuring there is probably no case. Even though it is mean. You cannot protect her job over someone else's position just because she is returning from leave. It seems unfair but you need to treat everyone equally. So long as there isn't evidence that she is being targeted because she was on leave, this would be a tough case. [ Reply | More ]
